A family in Cape Coral, Florida, were woken on Halloween night to find a man on their roof dressed only in his underwear
A woman in the house heard the sound of footsteps on her roof as the man wandered about for between five and six hours.
Neighbours posted pictures of the man to social media.
Police and fire services were eventually called, and helped the man off the roof with a ladder.
The unnamed man claimed he had no memory of how he had ended up on the roof or what had happened to his clothes.
One resident of the house speculated that he had perhaps used drugs to celebrate Halloween, only a bit too enthusiastically.
Once rescued, the man apologized and left. No charges were laid.
