A 37-year-old man was arrested in Fort Pierce, Florida after claiming that the cocaine found in his car might have been blown in by the wind.
Police were conducting a routine traffic stop recently when they noticed a driver ‘making furtive movements’ as though he was trying to discard something out of the window.
When they pulled him over and searched his car, they found he was hiding a can of beer in the car door.
The police report states that the driver had been spotted a few hours earlier, drinking in the parking lot of a motel well known for drugs and prostitution.
Upon searching his car, police discovered a ‘drug pipe’ and a bag of cocaine.
When asked about the find, the man allegedly denied the bag was his, and claimed: ‘The police, or the wind, placed it there.’
The police report did not include any details of the wind conditions that evening.
