American actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, have been released from hospital in Australia after testing positive for Covid-19 last week.
The couple were in Australia for a film that Hanks was involved in. Production on the film has now stopped.
The couple are among 452 cases (the number at the time of writing) of the virus confirmed in Australia.
Hanks who is 63, announced his illness on Instagram last week.
“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too”, he said in a post on social media.
Whilst Hanks and Wilson have now gone home to self-isolate, British actor, Idris Elba, has also announced he is positive with covid-19, however he is asymptomatic at the moment.
Elba asked for everyone to stand together at this time and take the disease seriously.
