While many nations are still in deep lockdowns and undergoing economic turmoil, the Israelis have become leaders in the movement towards a post-pandemic recovery.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Israel has had “the fastest Covid-19 vaccination rollout in the world”. In nearly one month since the vaccination began, 20% of Israeli citizens have been vaccinated. Therefore, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s prediction that Israel “will be the first country in the world to emerge from this” is becoming a reality.
As an upcoming election approaches (the fourth in three years) on 23rd March 2021, Netanyahu will seek to make the Israeli vaccination success under his leadership a primary campaign issue and keep it at the forefront of voters’ minds.
