South African Airways (SAA) is looking to expand its fleet and the number of destinations it travels to.
SAA has applied to relaunch flights from Cape Town to Accra, Lagos, and Windhoek, as well as between Johannesburg and Gaborone, Maputo, and Luanda.
It also wants to reintroduce flights to the US and UK.
The airline is also planning on expanding its fleet to 25 by the end of this year, and to 50 by 2030.
The airline has said it is on a “strong path to recovery” after entering business rescue during the Covid-19 pandemic.
