Soccer star, David Beckham, and celebrated actor, Gary Oldman, have been knighted by King Charles III.
The announcement was made as part of the King’s Birthday Honours List.
About 1,200 people were named in the honours list, which included 19 new sirs, along with 21 new damehoods.
Penny Mordaunt, a former Tory Cabinet Minister, also received a damehood while Luke Littler, the teenage world darts champion, received an MBE from the King.
