On Saturday 30 March 2019 UCT's Council is going to resolve whether or not to uphold a resolution taken by the university's Senate on the recommendation of the Academic Freedom Committee. There has been immense pressure from civil society not to pass this resolution.

The University of Cape Town’s Council is to decide today (30 March 2019) whether to endorse the Senate’s decision to approve a boycott of Israeli academic institutions. The decision came about due to a recommendation by the Academic Freedom Committee (AFC).

EWC will be the new load shedding
