Gérard Depardieu, the French acting veteran, is set to be tried on charges of sexual assault.

Depardieu was ordered to report to police on Monday in relation to accusations by a number of women who worked with Depardieu on film sets between 2014 and 2021.

Depardieu denied the accusations, but prosecutors say he will go on trial in October.

Over a dozen women have accused Depardieu of sexual assault.

The 75-year-old Depardieu is one of France’s most famous actors, and was nominated for an Oscar in 1990 for his role in Cyrano de Bergerac. He won a Golden Globe in 1991 for Green Card.
