Former South African Airways (SAA) chairperson Dudu Myeni has lost yet another High Court appeal attempt in her delinquency case.

Fin24 reported that yesterday’s ruling in the Pretoria High Court came a day after the same court dismissed her application for leave to appeal a December ruling stating that Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse has standing to bring a delinquency case against her.

The report said that the case to have her declared a delinquent director ‘has been hobbled by a series of delays, mainly on Myeni’s part, ranging from unexpected change of legal representatives to attempts to change her plea’.

In yesterday’s judgment, Judge Ronel Tolmay said the application by Myeni, who chaired the SAA board from December 2012 to October 2017, was filed out of time. Myeni was ordered to pay the cost for Outa’s counsel.
