Cricket South Africa (CSA) has finally announced this season’s fixtures.

In the midst of administrative turmoil, the game’s governing body has announced when the various professional matches will be played.

The season will kick off with the four-day competition on 2 November. The Knights will play the Warriors from the Eastern Cape in Bloemfontein, the Cobras will take on the Titans in Cape Town, while the Dolphins will take on the Johannesburg-based Lions in Durban.

The franchise four-day season will end just before Christmas while the one-day competition will begin a week after New Year’s Day. Meanwhile, the T20 competition will start in March next year.

As for the Proteas, it is not clear when they will play again, although they are reportedly in talks about playing a One-Day Series against England at home next month.

Amateur club cricket matches are still only scheduled to start at the beginning of next year. It is still not clear how this stops Covid.
