A Florida man was arrested by the Miami Gardens police department this week after he allegedly pulled a firearm on a Starbucks employee for ‘forgetting cream cheese on his bagel’.

The man, who has not been identified by police, ordered a bagel at the drive-thru window of a Starbucks café. Having pulled away, he became angry when he discovered there was no cream-cheese topping, and returned to complain.

The Starbucks employee, a 23-year-old woman who happened to be the daughter of the local police chief, asked the man if he had paid for a cream-cheese topping, as it was an extra. According to the arrest report, the angry man pulled out his firearm at this point, though did not point it at the woman.

The man got the topping he desired, but was later arrested by police, and is facing an aggravated assault with a firearm charge. According to police, he claims that he did not mean to threaten anyone with the gun, but simply made a grab for it and held it up because it was slipping out of his pocket.
