Seven people were killed and another five injured in the West Rand township of Kagiso on Saturday.
According to reports, a man entered a house and opened fire, killing the owner of the house, his girlfriend and a neighbour.
He then exited the house and continued to fire. Sadly, a wedding was in progress so the street was very busy. Others were killed and injured here.
The police are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder. It is at this point not apparent who might be a suspect and what the motive might have been.
As at Sunday evening no one had been arrested.
