Prince Andrew’s military titles and royal patronages have been revoked.

This follows his alleged involvement in sexual assault and while he faces a civil action regarding the allegations.

Andrew has also been fingered for being an acquaintance of the late, controversial billionaire, Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew had allegedly had sexual relations with someone who he knew was a minor who had been sex trafficked by Epstein. Andrew has denied the allegations.

Prince Andrew, Queen Elizabeth II’s third child and currently ninth in line to the British throne, will no longer be called His Royal Highness.

In a statement Buckingham Palace said: ‘With the Queen’s approval and agreement, the Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to the Queen. The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.’
