The mother and aunt of former Springbok rugby player, Breyton Paulse, died in Hermanus over the weekend.
The two women were washed over a harbour wall on Saturday. Although the National Sea Rescue Institute tried to resuscitate the two women they died at the scene.
Netwerk24 quoted Paulse as saying: ‘It is very sad. Pray for me and my family.’
Paulse played 64 Test matches for South Africa between 1999 and 2007, scoring 26 tries.
