Australian Prime minister Anthony Albanese says Australia wants to discuss expanding security and economic cooperation with India at an up-coming summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Both countries have committed to strengthening the ‘Quad’ an alliance of Australia, India, Japan and the United States, which seeks to block Chinese influence across Asia.

At a press conference of Friday, Albanese described India as a ‘top-tier security partner’.
