North Korean foreign minister Choe Son Hui declared the Group of Seven (G7) a ‘tool for ensuring the US hegemony’ in a statement yesterday.
The diplomats from the G7 this week had issued a joint statement condemning the recent ballistic missile launch carried out by North Korea over Japanese waters. The G7 plans to meet next month in Japan, and will likely discuss the North Korean nuclear weapons programme.
Choe also said that North Korea’s enemies had to accept the ‘stark reality’ that it was and will remain a nuclear weapons state into the future.
