Tinder, the online dating platform, is to leave Russia next month.

Match, the company which owns Tinder, said it would be leaving the country because ‘we are committed to protecting human rights’.

In a statement the company said: ‘Our brands are taking steps to restrict access to their services in Russia and will complete their withdrawal from the Russian market by June 30, 2023.’

Tinder is the latest Western company to exit Russia in protest against the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
