Freedom and equality, ideas that are central to modern politics, are the focal topics of a public webinar being hosted tomorrow by the University of Free State and featuring the Institute of Race Relations’s projects and publications manager, Terence Corrigan.
Joining Corrigan in co-presenting the webinar will be Martin van Staden, a former IRR staffer and head of policy at the Free Market Foundation.

Corrigan told the Daily Friend that freedom and equality were especially significant for liberals.
‘These concepts, sometimes working together, sometimes in contradiction to each other, are integral to the liberal understanding of the world and the operation of politics,’ he said, adding: ‘Yet these are also complex issues individually, and even more complex when paired with one another.’
