The last two suspects being sought by a global tribunal on the Rwandan genocide have been confirmed as being dead.

The two suspects, named as Ryandikayo and Charles Sikubwabo, were both confirmed as having died in 1998. Ryandikayo is believed to have died in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo while Sikubwabo died in Chad.

The two were wanted for their actions during the 1994 Rwandan genocide, when up to a million people were killed. Victims were from the Tutsi ethnic group, as well as moderate Hutus, the other main ethnic group in the country.

However, there are still about 1 000 people who are wanted by various national governments for their roles in the 1994 conflict.
