Fox News has announced that former President Trump has agreed to its proposal for a debate with Vice President Kamala Harris next month.

Trump said he had agreed to the debate on 4 September at a venue in Pennsylvania that has yet to be determined.

“I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. “The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated in that Biden will no longer be a participant, and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, thereby creating a conflict of interest.”

The two candidates will go head-to-head for the presidency on 8 November, after Harris was formally chosen as the Democratic nominee on Friday.

According to the BBC, during a campaign rally in Atlanta on Wednesday, Harris challenged Trump to debate her, saying “if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face”.
