All African nationals can now visit Ghana without a visa.
This was announced by the outgoing president, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Ghana is the fifth African country to allow all other Africans to visit without a visa, after Rwanda, the Seychelles, Gambia, and Benin.
In an address to the country’s parliament, Akufo-Addo said: “I am proud to have approved visa-free travel to Ghana for all African passport holders, with effect from the beginning of this year. This is the logical next step to the African Continental Free Trade Area and the workings of the largest trading bloc in the world.”
