A Zimbabwean couple have been freed after awaiting trial for over a year.
Sarudzayi Ambiri Jani and Remember Ncube were arrested after sharing a photoshopped picture of Zimbabwean president, Emmerson Mnangagwa on WhatsApp. The picture depicted the President naked except for a small piece of clothing in the colours of the governing ZANU-PF party, which covered his private parts.
They were arrested on charges of undermining and insulting the President.
The two have been in jail since June last year but were released this week by a magistrate as the prosecution had failed to try them for such a long period of time.
