According to Bloomberg, worldwide inflation concerns are creeping higher, fuelled by Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Wheat has jumped to its highest level since 2008; Ukraine is a vital source of global supply.

Russia and Ukraine account for more than a quarter of the world’s trade in wheat, about a fifth of corn sales, and 80% of sunflower oil exports. These countries are also key suppliers of a raft of agricultural goods to regions including Asia and the Middle East.
