British actor Laurence Fox has launched a political party which is intended to fight the ‘culture wars’.
Provisionally named Reclaim, the party has reportedly been financed to the tune of £5 million.
Fox, a member of the family that has produced such British acting greats as Edward Fox and James Fox, stated that the United Kingdom was ‘steeped in the innate values of families and communities, diverse in the truest sense but united in the want and need to call this island home. The people of the United Kingdom are tired of being told that we represent the very thing we have, in history, stood together against.’
The party intended to field candidates in coming elections.
Fox – familiar to television viewers through his depiction of James Hathaway in Lewis, between 2006 and 2015 – has launched several attacks on ‘woke’ culture in the past.
