A Florida attorney was planning to dress up as the Grim Reaper from today and travel around Florida warning people of the dangers of ignoring social distancing.
Dressed in a long black robe and carrying a scythe, Daniel Uhlfelder from Santa Rosa intends visiting public places around Florida such as beaches and parks to ward off visitors by reminding them of the deadliness of Covid-19.
Whilst some beaches in the state remain closed, some areas have begun to open their beaches with rules aimed at maintaining social distancing.
There is still much debate over the likelihood of catching Covid-19 in wide open spaces during the day, with some claiming that risk of transmission in well-lit and well-ventilated areas is low. This has not yet been conclusively established.
Florida has had a stay-at-home order since 3 April.
