Fawlty Towers, the classic British sitcom, is set to make a comeback.

John Cleese, former member of Monty Python and creator of Fawlty Towers, is set to revive the series with his daughter, Camilla Cleese.

Despite running for only two seasons in the 1970s, Fawlty Towers was named the best British sitcom in history by a panel of experts in 2019. It followed a curmudgeonly proprietor of a hotel on the British south coast, Basil Fawlty, played by Cleese, and the challenges he faced with his wife Sybil, staff, and eccentric guests that visited his establishment.

Cleese created and wrote the series with his then wife, Connie Booth.

The new series will see Cleese once again play Fawlty, who discovers he has a long-lost daughter, set to be played by his real-life daughter, Camilla. The two will then team up to run a boutique hotel together.
