Do you have an eye for design and detail? The IRR is seeking a creative and enthusiastic junior graphic designer to join its comms team.
Job description:
As a junior graphic designer, you will produce visually captivating content that resonates with our audiences across our various platforms.
The ideal candidate should not only possess a strong design sensibility and a keen eye for detail, but also have a genuine passion for communicating the ideas of classical liberalism.
We are looking for someone who can complete projects from brief to execution, designing on-brand marketing collateral and delivering high-quality and accurate final products.
The scope of work includes but is not limited to: creating digital media and infographics for social media; layout, typesetting, cover design for publications and newsletters; editing video clips; creating explainer videos and animations; visual storytelling and illustrations; ensuring brand consistency in line with our style guide; maintaining organised design files and assets for easy accessibility and future reference; reviewing designs for errors before they are printed or published.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in graphic design or a related field, with or without experience.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy).
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, illustrating creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of design principles.
- Strong time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to do research, as well as have the ability to keep abreast of the IRR’s work and think of ways to visually illustrate it.
- Ability to think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts, as well as contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
