Nineteen South Africans have left Gaza for Egypt. This was according to the Department of International Relations and Co-operation (DIRCO).
On X (formerly Twitter) Dirco’s spokesman, Clayson Monyela, said: ‘Our nationals will be coming home.’
It is not clear if the people evacuated are South Africans with dual Palestinian nationality, or South Africans who were living in Gaza.
