Fatima Jabbe-Bio, the first lady of Sierra Leone, is allegedly renting a council flat in London.
She left London in 2018 when her husband, Julius Maada Bio, was elected as President.
Jabbe-Bio has been listed as a tenant of the flat in Southwark, in south London, since 2007.
It appears likely that Jabbe-Bio has breached council housing regulations, as people who rent council flats are expected to use them as their primary residence.
Jabbe-Bio came to London to try to pursue a modelling and acting career. She met Maada Bio in 2012, where he was fundraising for a presidential campaign. They were married in 2013.
According to The Times of London, the city’s waiting list for social housing is the longest it’s been in about a decade, with nearly 350,000 people on waiting lists.
