A man has been arrested under suspicion of trying to start a fire at the private residence of British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer.

The fire at the residence in Kentish Town in north London saw some damage to the property’s entrance, but was brought under control before any major damage could be caused.

This comes after a fire at a house that was converted into flats, which is also linked to Starmer.  Police believe that a car fire is also related to the other arson incidents.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the incidents, according to the police.

In a statement the Metropolitan Police said: “As a precaution and due to the property having previous connections with a high-profile public figure, officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command are leading the investigation into this fire.”
