Nicusor Dan, the mayor of Bucharest, has won the Romanian presidential election.
Dan, who is pro-EU, secured 53.6% of the vote, against the 46.4% won by George Simion.
This follows a first-round election held earlier this month, in which Simion won 40% of the vote, with Dan securing 21%.
The election follows months of political turmoil after an election was annulled last year.
“We need to build Romania together, irrespective of who you voted for,” said Dan after his victory.
