Three African countries have applied to become members of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Mauritius, Burkina Faso, and Burundi have all applied to be admitted to the ICC as Associate members. The three countries had previously applied but the ICC had a number of administrative queries about their applications.
At a recent ICC AGM two new countries were admitted – Zambia and Timor-Leste. Zambia had previously been a member but had been expelled over governance issues but has now been readmitted.
