Not content with winning the Rugby World Cup on Saturday, South Africans won again at the World Rugby awards on Sunday.

Rassie Erasmus was named Coach of the Year, Pieter-Steph du Toit was named World Player of the Year, and the Springboks were named team of the year.

South Africans were also nominated in two other categories – Herschel Jantjies had been put forward for Newcomer of the Year and one of Cobus Reinach’s three tries against Canada in the pool stages of the tournament was nominated for Try of the Year.

To top it all off, South Africa also heads the World Rugby Rankings for the first time in a decade. World Cup runners-up England are second, with New Zealand in third place.
