The cricket boards of England and Zimbabwe are in discussions around a possible cricket tour of Zimbabwe, with a match possibly being hosted at a new ground to be built near the iconic Victoria Falls.
England and Zimbabwe had been in something of a cricket Cold War for decades, with no bilateral matches between the two. This changed last week when England hosted Zimbabwe in a Test match at Trent Bridge, the first Zimbabwe had played in a Test match in England in over twenty years.
Although England won comprehensively there were a number of fine performances by Zimbabwean players, including Sean Williams and Brian Bennett, who made the fastest century by a Zimbabwean in a Test match.
No dates have been set yet, nor the type of format of games and if it would just be white balls games or include a Test match.
However, Zimbabwe intends to host at least one match at a new ground being constructed close to Victoria Falls. The 10,000 seater Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium is being built ahead of the 2027 Cricket World Cup, which Zimbabwe is hosting along with South Africa and Namibia.
