Angie Richardson
Angie Richardson is the spokesperson for the Women’s Action Campaign South Africa, an anonymously supported and funded organisation described as ‘a group of women who know each other professionally and over the years have become friends’. The WACSA website carries the following note: ‘Disclaimer: We choose not to disclose the names of our members, as the issues surrounding the Israel-Gaza conflict are incredibly divisive, and there is a real threat to our members, their careers and their family's safety.’ Richardson is a media relations specialist and writer with over 25 years of experience in strategic communications. Since 2016, she has been working independently, collaborating with various corporates, academic institutions, and civil society organisations on their communication strategies. She is a co-author, with former Black Sash director Lynette Maart, of a book about South Africa’s social grant crisis, Hands off our Grants, published in 2022.
