Janet Giddy is a UCT medical graduate who is a Family Physician and Public Health Consultant. She has experience in rural medicine, primary health care, HIV and TB care and maternal & child health. She is interested in medical history and in the issue of “transgenderism” and the medical implications of this. She has experience in the education of nurses, doctors and medical students. She has management experience and has been involved in a variety of research studies in the field of HIV, TB, PMTCT, and reproductive health.
