Martin Plaut
Born in South Africa in May 1950, Martin Plaut is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies at the University of London. He is a former Africa editor of BBC World Service News. He has reported extensively on Africa and South Africa, and written widely on the region’s history and politics. Plaut has advised the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the US State Department and the European Parliament.
