The South African Police Service (SAPS) showed a zero-tolerance to the unlawful behaviour of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). The EFF attempted to contravene the 100 protestor limit that had been set by the City of Cape Town, and force their way to Brackenfell High Show with hundreds more protestors. They were met with SAPS water canons, tear gas and stun grenades. BDL asks if we are we seeing the SAPS finally take public order policing more seriously? Also, what should we make of the continued attempts by the EFF, pockets of the media and Lefties in SA to continue the dubious narrative of a school sanctioned “whites-only Matric dance” being the reason for them gunning for the Brackenfell school kids and residents?
