Disgraced businessman Markus Jooste is to go on trial in Germany in April.
Jooste, who was allegedly responsible for one of the biggest acts of fraud in South African history, was charged with fraud in Germany in 2021.
Jooste, the former boss of Steinhoff, was charged with three other people, two Germans and another accused who is not German.
The trial of the two German nationals will start in May.
The Hawks are still busy probing Jooste’s affairs but have not formally brought any charges.
