The DA is the leading party in Johannesburg, with 62% of the vote counted.
The DA is on 31.1%, while the ANC is snapping at its heels with 29.9%.
ActionSA is currently the third biggest party in the city, with 16.4%, while the EFF is on 9.9%.
If the DA holds onto the lead it will be the first time it will be the biggest party in South Africa’s biggest metro. In 2016 it was the biggest party in three metros – Cape Town, Tshwane, and Nelson Mandela Bay.
